How frequently do caregivers get paid?

This depends on the local office you work for. Some offer bi-weekly or weekly pay, while some offer a daily pay option.

How far will I have to drive?

We try to keep the distance between a caregiver’s and a client’s home as close as possible. Our Care Management System assists with scheduling and comparing distances. We also do our best to limit visits to multiple clients in the same day. When appropriate, caregivers are paid for travel time between clients and are reimbursed for mileage.

Can you guarantee I will work a certain number of hours per week?

We do our best to deliver the hours that you want, but there are times in which clients cancel their services or change their schedules. It is best to speak with the local FirstLight office in which you’d like to apply as this can vary.
