Houston Senior Living Guide is an independent directory created to help Houston-area families research assisted living, memory care, residential care homes, and nursing facilities. The Site is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any senior care facility, placement agency, or government entity.

We do not provide placement services, referral fees, or lead-generation arrangements that influence which facilities are listed or how they are ranked. All licensed facilities meeting our care-type criteria are eligible for listing regardless of commercial relationship.

2. Information Accuracy

Facility data on this Site — including license type, license status, capacity, and contact information — is sourced from public records published by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). We update this data periodically, but HHSC records change frequently. This data may not reflect the most current facility status, ownership, or service offerings.

Pricing information displayed on facility pages represents estimates based on regional market data and is provided for general research purposes only. Actual pricing varies significantly by care level, room type, and individual circumstance. Always contact facilities directly to obtain current pricing and availability.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information but cannot guarantee that all data is current, complete, or error-free. You should independently verify all facility information before making care decisions.

3. Google Ratings & Review Data

Google star ratings and review counts displayed on facility pages are sourced through DataForSEO, an industry-standard data aggregation service. This data is updated periodically and may not reflect the most current ratings or review counts on Google.

Individual Google review text is not displayed on this Site — only aggregate ratings and counts. For the most current Google reviews, visit the facility’s Google Business Profile directly.

Houston Senior Living Guide is not affiliated with Google LLC. Google ratings and reviews are the property of Google and their respective authors.

All content on this Site — including facility descriptions, care type explanations, cost guides, and AI chat responses — is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

5. No Facility Affiliation or Endorsement

The listing of a facility on this Site does not imply that Houston Senior Living Guide endorses, recommends, or has a referral relationship with that facility. All licensed Texas ALF and nursing facilities meeting our geographic and care-type criteria are eligible for inclusion in our directory.

Facilities marked as “Featured” or “Verified” have subscribed to our operator membership program to provide enhanced profile information. This designation reflects operator participation in our platform, not an assessment of care quality or a recommendation by Houston Senior Living Guide.

We are not responsible for the quality of care provided by any facility listed on this Site. Always conduct your own research, read HHSC inspection reports, and visit facilities in person before making a decision.

6. User Responsibility & Due Diligence

Families and individuals using this Site to research senior care options are solely responsible for their care decisions. We encourage all users to:

  • Review HHSC inspection records for each facility under consideration (available at the Texas HHSC Provider Search)
  • Schedule in-person tours of facilities before committing to placement
  • Contact facilities directly to verify current availability, pricing, and services
  • Consult a licensed elder care professional or geriatric care manager for complex care needs
  • Verify that a facility’s license is active and in good standing with HHSC before placement

Facility names, addresses, and HHSC-sourced data are public record and not subject to our copyright. Google ratings and review counts are the property of Google LLC.

8. Claimed Listings

Facility operators may claim a free Verified Listing on this Site. Claiming a listing is non-exclusive and may be revoked at the sole discretion of Houston Senior Living Guide.

Backlink Requirement: Operators who claim a free Verified Listing agree to maintain a link from their facility website to their listing on Houston Senior Living Guide. We verify this link weekly. If the link is not found for two consecutive checks, the Verified badge will be paused. After three consecutive failures, the badge will be removed. The badge is automatically restored once a valid backlink is detected on the next weekly check.

Paid Membership: Operators may optionally upgrade to a paid Founding Member subscription at $49/month (founding rate, subject to change for new subscribers). Paid memberships may be cancelled at any time and are governed by a separate agreement presented during checkout. Paid members are not required to maintain a backlink.

Data Accuracy: After claiming a listing, the operator assumes responsibility for the accuracy of their facility’s name, address, phone number, and other profile information displayed on the Site. Houston Senior Living Guide reserves the right to revert changes that do not match public HHSC records.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Houston Senior Living Guide and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use this Site
  • Inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete facility information
  • Care decisions made based on information obtained from this Site
  • Actions or omissions of any facility listed on this Site
