Your responsibilities include: ❤️ Provide in-home companionship to elderly clients Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing Remind clients to take prescribed medication Help with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor’s appointments, walks, etc. ️ Plan and prepare meals Complete the client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so Perform basic housekeeping duties Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Offer activities that are essential for daily living ⭐ ARE YOU THE CAREGIVER WE'RE LOOKING FOR? What to Expect in This Role Day-to-Day

Your day typically begins with morning routines — helping residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting to breakfast. Throughout the shift, you will assist with meals, escort residents to activities, monitor for changes in behavior or health, and document everything in the care log. Vital signs checks happen at regular intervals, and you will be the first person to notice if something seems off with a resident.

The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
