Job Description

TheKey is seeking a Caregiver Manager to lead and support our caregiving teams across North America. In this role, you'll train, supervise, and develop caregivers while ensuring clients receive exceptional, dignified care in their own homes.

What You'll Do
  • Train, supervise, and mentor caregivers with coaching, feedback, and development plans
  • Match caregivers with clients based on skills, experience, and care needs
  • Develop and manage caregiver schedules ensuring adequate coverage and emergency response
  • Conduct care quality assessments for compliance with organizational standards and regulations
  • Manage caregiver payroll, timekeeping, scheduling systems, and workers' compensation claims
  • Serve as point of contact for caregiver support with benefits, payroll, and HR resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Two years experience in healthcare, elder care, social work, or related industry
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with clinical and non-clinical personnel
  • Computer proficiency and ability to document timely, accurate notes in systems
  • Ability to travel up to 10% and lift/carry up to 15-20 pounds

What to Expect in This Role Day-to-Day

Your day typically begins with morning routines — helping residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting to breakfast. Throughout the shift, you will assist with meals, escort residents to activities, monitor for changes in behavior or health, and document everything in the care log. Vital signs checks happen at regular intervals, and you will be the first person to notice if something seems off with a resident.

The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
