Job Description
Light Bearers Home Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Houston team. You will provide compassionate nursing care and assist patients with daily living activities in a home care setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide hygiene and daily living assistance including bathing, toileting, and shower support
- Support patients with meals and ambulate, turn, and position patients as needed
- Check vital signs, weight, and perform specimen collection and urine testing
- Administer non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, and therapeutic baths
- Maintain specialized training and perform additional tasks pertinent to assigned patients
Requirements
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all types of people
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; lift 75 pounds at times
