What You’ll Do Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility Take vital signs and report changes in resident's condition promptly Support residents with dignity, respect, and compassion Assist licensed nurses and the interdisciplinary team in implementing care plans Follow infection control, safety protocols, and documentation standards Help create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and families What We’re Looking For Current Texas CNA certification (required) Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during a 12-hour shift Availability for 6a–6p or 6p–6a shifts Why Join West Janisch? The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
