LI-AB1 *This role is based in an Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care setting. Summary: The Community Therapy Lead (CTL) is responsible for managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the company’s fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations in conjunction with the Senior Director of Rehab and/or Regional Director of Operations. The CTL will achieve specific Resident care, Team Member relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective partnership with customers. Maintains professional conduct, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with communities and clients. Represents Reliant Rehabilitation commitment to quality and services in all interactions with communities and clients, as well as adheres to Reliant Rehabilitation’s Policies and Procedures Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overall therapy, wellness, and fitness advocacy within the community. Advocate passionately through these services thus driving meaningful and measurable outcomes for the community. Assign Resident scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed. In conjunction with the Senior DOR and/or Regional Director of Operations, Manage, orient, train, evaluate, and counsel department and Team Members to improve their job performance and to maintain high standards of performance and patient quality care. Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and community specific policies and procedures for the department. In conjunction with the Senior DOR and/or Regional Director of Operations, Ensure that therapists and therapy assistants are compliant with documentation in the medical record that: is accurate and concise; meets governmental and third-party payor requirements; minimizes duplication; and reflects a clear picture of the resident’s status, the skilled intervention, and the resident’s outcomes. Communicate and coordinate department functions with other services in a constructive manner that promotes team rapport and effectiveness. Communicate effectively with community leadership team regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes. Communicates effectively to the public (including medical personnel) within the community regarding the therapy services offered by Reliant Rehabilitation. Participate in resident care coordination, department head meetings, and community education and planning. Responsible for revenue and expense controls to meet budgetary requirements. Ensure timely and accurate billing of services provided and completion of required documentation and maintain quality of services. Enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists and other professional staff, self-study, and other continuing education activities. Maintain valid state license (where appropriate). Maintain awareness of issues related to the rehabilitation and senior living profession. Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue — everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming — exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings — and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals.
