Belmont Village West University - ABOUT THE ROLE As an Activity Program Enrichment Leader with Belmont Village Senior Living, you will promote socialization, growth, learning and development by conducting activities with Independent and Assisted Living residents. You will assist the department manager with planning, setting up and implementing engaging activities that reflect the diverse interests, values and beliefs of the residents. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age. This position requires an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Leading and teaching engaging activity programs with small groups or individual residing in our Independent and Assisted Living community Providing one-on-one engagement with new residents assisting with their successful transition into our community Maintaining bulletin boards as needed to effectively promote activities and events within the community Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to confidently lead engaging life-long learning activities that align with the Belmont Village standards for Whole Brain Fitness Assisting with tracking and trending of resident participation and maintaining compliance related documentation Assisting with planning and coordination for resident outings and events QUALIFICATIONS Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, liberal arts, social sciences, education, theater, or related fields. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience successfully coordinating and leading group activities Ability to work the defined schedule for this position which may include weekends Strong creativity, communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English Demonstrated knowledge and use of technology in the workplace including MS Office suite Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications. Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue — everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming — exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings — and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals.
