What You’ll Be Doing: Provide compassionate care and assistance to residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory impairments Support residents in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, dining, etc.) Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and your Silverado team Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent preferred CNA Training Completion with a valid CNA certificate number required Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required) Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards Effective communicator in verbal and written English Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) The team dynamic is close-knit. You will work alongside other aides, report to the charge nurse, and communicate with families who visit. In memory care units, redirection and engagement activities are a big part of the role — keeping residents calm, oriented, and socially active. The work is physically and emotionally demanding, but many aides describe deep bonds with the residents they care for and a sense of purpose that keeps them in the field long-term.
