Job Description

Description We are searching for an Inpatient Physical Therapist someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will plan, evaluate, organize and implement Physical Therapy (PT) treatment programs in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients ages 0 - adulthood. Think you’ve got what it takes? 4 weekend shifts per month Need someone that can train 12 weeks full time, if possible Areas of coverage: Inpatient Adult Congenital Heart Inpatient/Outpatient Women's Health Job Duties & Responsibilities Completes patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines Develops an individualized plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings according to hospital and departmental guidelines Provides clinical support to assigned outpatient clinic or specialty program Provides successful mentorship opportunities to less experienced staff (in area of specialty) as determined by evaluations completed by the “learner” Documents patient information in Electronic Medical Record according to hospital and departmental guidelines with no more than six (6) errors per year Provides clinical leadership role as a clinical instructor for at least 1 professional student per year Informs manager or designee of all unsafe and potentially unsafe situations, patient/personal injury, anticipated problems and unusual situations Actively participates in the development and gathering of Quality Improvement information As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Skills & Requirements Degree in Physical Therapy required PT certification from the state of Texas required BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred 2 years clinical experience OR 1-year medical residency experience preferred Acute, inpatient experience preferred

Infection control protocols are more rigorous than in hotels or commercial cleaning, especially during flu season or respiratory illness outbreaks.

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue — everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming — exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings — and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals. Across all these roles, the common thread is that you become a familiar, trusted presence in residents' daily lives.
