Avir at Houston - In-House PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) – Houston, TX Avir at Houston is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in the Houston, TX area. Open to new grads! Weekend and PTO coverage. Position Overview As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess and treat residents to improve function, independence, and overall quality of life. This role includes developing evidence-based treatment plans, delivering skilled therapy services, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Evaluate residents to determine functional impairments and therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and IADLs. Track progress and modify treatment plans as needed in coordination with the IDT. Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to promote independence. Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapeutic strategies. Ensure accurate, timely documentation per state, federal, and facility guidelines. Participate in team meetings and care planning activities. Adhere to all regulatory and facility policies. Qualifications Active Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license Good standing with all licensing boards and regulatory agencies SNF or long-term care experience preferred Familiarity with Net Health documentation a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Career Advantages In-house Rehab (Non-contracted) Competitive compensation

Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue — everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming — exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings — and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings.
