We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist-Outpatient Neurorehab to join our growing neurorehabilitation team at our newly established outpatient clinic. About Our Facility Specialized outpatient neurorehabilitation center State-of-the-art equipment and technology Collaborative team environment Commitment to ongoing staff education and professional development Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care Perform comprehensive neurological physical therapy evaluations and assessments Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practice Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions targeting: Endurance Speed Strength Weight support Dynamic balance Gross and Fine Motor Skills Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations Complete evaluations and progress reports within required timeframes Collaboration & Communication Work closely with physical therapy team including PTAs and PT Aides/Rehab Techs Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding goals, progress, and home exercise programs Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning Education & Mentorship Supervise and mentor PT Assistants, PT Aides/Rehab Techs Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and fall prevention Stay current with emerging research and best practices in neurorehabilitation Qualifications Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program Current and valid Texas Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain) CPR/BLS certification Strong knowledge of neurological conditions including: Stroke / CVA Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Parkinson's Disease Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) 2-3 years of experience in neurological or neurorehabilitation physical therapy Preferred 3-5 years of experience in neurological or neurorehabilitation physical therapy Experience with standard outcome measures Experience with robotic neurorehabilitation devices Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment Bilingual Skills & Attributes Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities Empathetic and patient-centered approach to care Motivated to achieve measurable patient outcomes Excellent verbal and written communication skills Collaborative team player with a positive attitude Strong organizational and time management skills Other Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting Assist with patient transfers, mobility activities and therapeutic activities Ability to demonstrate exercises and therapeutic techniques Adhere to safety, infection-control, confidentiality, and professional healthcare standards What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Continuing education allowance Supportive and collaborative work culture Location & Schedule Setting: Outpatient Neurorehabilitation Clinic in the Houston Museum District Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (flexible scheduling available) Patient Load: Low Note: This description indicates, in general terms, the type and level of work performed and responsibilities held by the team member(s). Maintenance staff handle a daily work order queue — everything from changing light bulbs and fixing call buttons to HVAC maintenance and plumbing repairs. Life-safety equipment checks (fire extinguishers, exit lighting, generator testing) happen on set schedules. Activities professionals plan and lead group programming — exercise classes, crafts, music sessions, outings — and also provide one-on-one engagement for residents who cannot participate in group settings. Social workers manage care conferences, discharge planning, family mediation, and community resource referrals.
