Description Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for PRN Licensed Vocational Nurses for day shifts to join our team of health care professionals in a newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX. Join our team and help us provide top-tier medical services to a justice involved population! Compensation includes: Salary range $32.00 DOE Shift Premiums Weekend Premiums Holiday Premiums As an LVN, you will provide high-quality patient care within the facility. You will be responsible for implementing patient care while ensuring compliance with medical standards and facility security protocols. This role requires clinical expertise, adaptability, and the ability to function effectively in a secure and structured environment. Essential Functions: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs under the guidance of the Charge or Registered Nurse. Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment progress. Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, medical history, and treatment progress in electronic medical records. Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care in collaboration with other healthcare team members. Provide ethical nursing care in a confidential, caring, non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner. Collaborate with security staff to maintain a safe and secure healthcare environment. Adhere to strict security measures, including controlled access to medical supplies and compliance with facility policies on contraband. Regular and predictable attendance required. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Education and Experience Requirements: Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 1 years of experience as a LVN. Required certification and licensure as follows: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management. Post Hire Requirements: Must successfully complete annual requirements to include maintaining licenses, certifications, and passing an annual background check. Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies.
