We’re hiring an RN On-Call – a compassionate and skilled nurse who will provide after-hours support, ensuring timely assessments and continuity of care for hospice patients and families. This role is essential to delivering dignified, responsive care during critical moments. What You’ll Be Doing Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations and after-hours assessments for patients with changes in condition Assess for signs and symptoms of discomfort, including pain, and take prompt, appropriate action Initiate and update plans of care as needed; provide nursing follow-up and caregiver instruction Submit accurate documentation within 24 hours of visits Coordinate services across settings to ensure quality and appropriateness of care Follow approved care plans, modify as needed, and communicate with physicians when appropriate Qualifications Registered Nurse with a valid state license Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required Hospice experience preferred, but not required Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50 pounds Must clear a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on business needs Must be comfortable working in environments with animals and pets.
