Work Schedule: 3 days per week, 7a-7p/Rotating Weekends As a Acute Inpatient Telemetry Registered Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn -whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role: You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care. You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations. You will provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. What qualifications you will need: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date). American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification is required. Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies. The documentation load in senior living is significant — state surveys and compliance requirements mean thorough charting is non-negotiable. Many nurses in this setting say the most rewarding part is knowing their residents personally and being able to notice subtle changes that a rotating hospital nurse might miss.
