Job Description Clinical Staff (LVN, CNA, EMT) Beta Academy is a Title -1 Schoolwide Campus Qualifications: BLS/CPR certification Knowledge of many areas of health including mental health Knowledge of school laws and policies Ability to work independently or with others Ability to communicate well with others Ability to assess situations and act quickly Knowledge of state health regulations Ability to multitask Reports To: Chief Business Officer or Campus Principal Employment Terms: Full-time (7:30-4:30) / 10 month/ Hourly- $15.00-$20.00 / 100% Onsite Key Responsibilities: Maintains a clean and organized workspace Treat students and staff as needed Ensure students receive all required health screenings Evaluate patients who complain of specific ailments Call parents to suggest they pick up patients who might be uncomfortable or who might have developed a contagious illness Educate students on hand washing, germs, and other health care and safety issues Examine and authenticate vaccination records Monitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and GPs Contact parents and teachers with any medical emergency Maintain files on each student�s health and medical history Ensure shot records are up to date and immunization records are accurate. Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student care Administer medication Monitor student immunization records Educate students and staff on health procedures Help students who have disabilities Recognizes problems and impediments and reports them promptly with options for solutions to the site director; promotes and assists with constructive resolutions. Provide a safe and clean environment for patients Adheres to and enforces board policy, school guidelines, and administrative directives Read and comply with the Procedures Manual, Employee Handbook, Scholar Handbook, and Scholar Code of Conduct Establishes and maintains professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, scholars, staff, neighbors, and partners. Promotes and maintains a positive and effective school climate by ensuring that all interactions with staff, scholars, parents, and the public at large are prompt, efficient, helpful, and friendly. Other duties as assigned by the principal and campus secretary.

Depending on the facility, you may also handle admissions paperwork, manage wound care, supervise medication techs, and respond to emergencies.
