DPS is now hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse for a Correctional Facility in Houston, TX. Licensed Vocational Nurse Job Details: Schedule: Night and Day shifts 6pm-6am/on site Location: Houston, TX Temporary to hire Starting Pay Rate: Starting at $28.00/ hour (based on experience) Benefits: ACA Healthcare Compliant Healthcare Benefits, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k), referral bonus and other incentives Licensed Vocational Nurse Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage medication clinics, including medication administration and documentation with inmates. Provide support to prescribing providers during visits and follow-up. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing documentation in compliance with state and facility guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, to ensure coordinated care. Promote a respectful, compassionate, and supportive atmosphere. Education Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Active Texas LVN license required. Education Requirements: SAMA Training Required CPR/BLS certification (AHA required) Immunizations: Hep B titer, TDAP, MMR, Varicella ( 2 Dose of titer) TB Test Active Texas LVN license required.
