Job Title: Nurse Manager RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Location: Houston, TX Type: Full-Time Shift & Schedule: Nights | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Includes Weekend Rotation and On-Call Requirements Pay: $45.79/hr - $68.00/hr (Based on Experience; Midpoint: $57.23/hr) Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 Relocation Assistance: Evaluated on a Case-by-Case Basis Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nurse Manager RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for an exciting Local job in Houston, TX. Responsibilities Act as an expert clinical resource for night shift nursing staff, ensuring delivery of care is rooted in the nursing process and continuously evaluated for effectiveness. Collaborate with the Director to coordinate departmental participation in performance improvement activities and maintain compliance with Level IV NICU standards. Assist in planning, implementing, and auditing patient care plans to ensure positive clinical outcomes for critically ill and premature neonates. Manage shift-based operations, including staffing assignments, charge nurse alignment, and coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges. Provide leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and staff development support. Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment. Support departmental strategic initiatives and program goals. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives. Supervise, mentor, and support 20 to 35 FTEs across rotating shifts. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License. Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a NICU. Minimum 2 years of formal nursing management or Charge Nurse experience. Recent acute care NICU leadership experience within the last year in a Level III or Level IV NICU.
