Join Brooke Army Medical Center as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on unit 6E, providing comprehensive care in a Level I Trauma Center environment. What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications via multiple routes and provide direct patient care including wound care and hygiene assistance
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize life-threatening situations, and respond using emergency procedures
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to LVNs and unlicensed assistive personnel across comparable patient care units

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license and minimum one year RN experience in acute care within two years
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or ALS preferred for designated specialty units
  • U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of background investigation and security screening
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and electronic health record proficiency skills
