Respiratory TherapistWhat You Must Have: Associate’s degree with major in Respiratory Therapy Six months of experience within in the last two years or completion of a clinical rotation within the last year in critical care/intensive care environment, to include care of respiratory needs of acutely ill patients Valid state Respiratory Therapist license (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure) Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care Must have current driver's license Full Time Benefits Competitive Pay Medical, Dental & Vision insurance Paid Time Off Paid holidays 401k with up to 4% employer matching Tuition reimbursement Company car for qualifying individuals Mileage reimbursement What You Will Do: Maintains patient’s pulmonary function, alleviates pain, and supports respiratory status by planning and administering medically prescribed respiratory therapy. Meets patient’s goals and needs and provides quality care by determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage, assisting with breathing exercises, and monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes. Directs treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants. Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress and recommending adjustments and modifications. Works in conjunction with IDG team regarding discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care during IDG. Timely submission of all documentation Performance of other duties as required Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
